چکیده

The renormalization group equations (RGEs) of the mass matrices of quarks and leptons in a SO(10) model with two Higgs scalars in the Yukawa coupling are studied. This model is the minimal model of SUSY and non-SUSY SO(10) GUT which can reproduce all the experimental data. Non-SUSY SO(10) GUT model has the intermediate energy phase, Pati-Salam phase, and passes through the symmetry breaking pattern, SO(10) → SU(2)L × SU(2)R × SU(4)C → SU(2)L × U(1)Y × SU(3)C . Though minimal, it has, after the Pati-Salam phase, four Higgs doublets in Yukawa interactions. We consider the RGE’s of the Yukawa coupling constants of quarks and charged leptons and of the coupling constants of the dimension five operators of neutrinos corresponding to the above symmetry breaking pattern. The scalar quartic interactions are also incorporated. PACS number(s): 12.15.Ff, 12.10.-g, 12.60.-i Typeset using REVTEX

Embedding Phenomenological Quark-Lepton Mass Matrices into SU(5) Gauge Models

We construct phenomenological quark-lepton mass matrices based on S3 permutation symmetry in a manner fully compatible with SU(5) grand uni cation. The Higgs particles we need are 5, 45 and their conjugates. The model gives a charge 1/3 quark vs charged lepton mass relation, and also a good t to mass-mixing relations for the quark sector, as well as an attractive mixing pattern for the lepton s...

Nearly Tribimaximal Neutrino Mixing without Discrete Symmetry

Based on a new approach to quark and lepton masses, where the mass spectra originate in vacuum expectation values of O(3)-flavor 1+5 (gauge singlet) scalars, a neutrino mass matrix of a new type is speculated. The mass matrix is described in terms of the up-quark and charged lepton masses, and it can lead to a nearly tribimaximal mixing without assuming any discrete symmetry. Quark mass relatio...

Seesaw Mass Matrix Model of Quarks and Leptons with Flavor-Triplet Higgs Scalars

Suggested from the charged lepton mass formulame+mμ+mτ = 2 3 ( √ me+ √ mμ+ √ mτ ) , a seesaw mass-generation model for quarks and leptons is proposed. Fermions 10′L+1̄0 ′ L+1 ′ L are introduced in addition to the conventional quarks and leptons 5̄L + 10L of SU(5). Also, flavor-triplet Higgs scalars 5H +5̄H +1H are assumed. The charged lepton mass spectrum is understood not from the structure of th...

A New Bottom-Up Approach for the Construction of Fermion Mass Matrices

We describe a new technique which enables one to construct an SO(10)-symmetric fermion mass matrix model at the supersymmetric grand unification scale directly from the fermion mass and mixing data at the low energy scale. Applications to two different neutrino mass and mixing scenarios are given. Presented by C. H. Albright at the Yukawa Workshop held at the University of Florida, Gainesville,...

SO(10)×SO(10) Universal Seesaw Model and its Intermediate Mass Scales

On the basis of the universal seesaw mass matrix model, which is a promising model of the unified description of the quark and lepton mass matrices, the behaviors of the gauge coupling constants and intermediate energy scales in the SO(10)L × SO(10)R model are investigated related to the neutrino mass generation scenarios. The non-SUSY model cannot give favorable values of the intermediate ener...
